Chess was written by Anastasia Gorbunova, drummer Ruslan "drumming fox" Parkanov and guitarist Martini as a metaphor for risky desires, strong feelings, questionable life choices, and unavoidable nostalgia. Chess is an intellectual game that can only be played one-on-one. It is similar to relationships, especially those that sooner or later must end.
